Arshad’s against 7 yrs jail term for Shiney

The actor broke down in the court after the judgment was passed and has now decided to challenge his conviction in the High Court. While we see some more tareekh pe tareekh coming his way till the final judgment arrives, back in the film industry some celebs are seeing the 7 year jail as a bit too harsh for the actor.

One of the filmwallahs to stand up for Shiney is Arshad Warsi. Lashing out at the judgment Arshad blogged, "Murderers, terrorist and corrupt politicians are walking free and Shiney Ahuja gets 7 years imprisonment. Judiciary should stop targeting actors so blatantly."

As the star started receiving flak from some about having a soft corner for 'rapist' Shiney, he clarified he stand, "I am NOT saying Shiney's right but don't forget that Kasab is still enjoying our hospitality."

He further lamented on the fact about influential people getting away even after committing the gravest of crimes, "Do u know the number of rapes that happen in our country on a daily basis by influential and connected people? Those cases are not even registered."

We would like to know what our readers think about the judgment. Please leave your comments below....

I won’t be wearing a bikini: Kangna

Work beckoned Kangna Ranaut even on her birthday recently. And that too far away from home on promotional duty for her latest flick.

But the lady sure made up for that by partying through the previous night and well into the early hours of the morning. And it seemed she partied a wee bit too much, as she remained seated on the bed in her hotel room and refused to remove her oversized sunglasses while chatting with BT. "I had a blast last night," is all she said about her birthday festivities.

But despite the lack of sleep, Kangna was thrilled to be in Bangalore to talk about her new film, the Excel Entertainment offering Game, which sees her play a cop. "I'm happy to be here. We're meeting fans and engaging them in a contest, the winners of which will be flown to Mumbai for the final," she said. As for her character in the film, Kangna plays a cop. "My character is a detective based in London. Since it's a murder mystery, I'm not given a song or dance sequence," she explained.

The actress, who is still basking in the success of her film Tanu Weds Manu, has an action-packed year ahead. "I've just finished shooting for Double Dhamaal, which also has an ensemble cast. Then there's Rascals with Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan and later in the year I will be seen in Happy New Year," she elaborated. Rumour has it that Kangna agreed to don a bikini in Rascals, albeit after laying down certain terms and conditions. True? "Of course not! I won't be wearing a two-piece swimming costume. I wonder where people get such news from. They just print whatever they want and don't even have the courtesy to ask me if there's any truth to the report," said Kangna.

As for reports of Sonal Chauhan replacing the actress in the Big B-starrer Bbuddah, the actress maintains that she was never part of the project. "The film was offered to me. But after reading the script, I figured that this was not what I wanted to do at this point and hence did not take it up. You don't do every film offered to you. So there was no question of being replaced," she explains. What then is she looking for? "What I'd love to do are simple love stories," she said and joined the rest of the cast, including Abhishek Bachchan and Sarah-Jane Dias, to cut a cake that the hotel had prepared for their special guest on her big day.

Minissha's grandmom critical

When the entire nation was celebrating the festival of colours, the Well Done Abba actress Minissha Lamba was busy dabbling between her work commitments and caring for her grandmother who is seriously ill.

The actress who has been busy shooting for Shirish Kunder's Joker in Chandigarh and remaining portions of Hum Tum Aur Shabana, says, "I love playing holi, but this year due to my work commitments and my grandmother's illness, I couldn't do so." Meanwhile, she is busy juggling her work and granny's regular check-ups, med etc. She's quite a multitasker.

Ranveer, Sonakshi paired opposite each other?

The two may come together in big banner production...

Actor Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha are the new friends in town. We saw them bond well at the FICCI Frames event held recently. The two newbies have to their credit one successful film each, and are keen to work with each other as and when a script comes their way.

And though they both are showcasing their eagerness to work with one another, we are told that something is already on the cards. "A big production house is planning to approach them for a romantic film. They look good together, and have proven to be good actors."

Though, we aren't told too much about this Romcom, speculation has it that it is a Yash Raj film. It can be remembered that Ranveer has a three-film contract with the banner, and is currently shooting for his second YRF movie 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl'.

Parents upset with 'Casanova' Ranbir

The insatiable womanizer, Ranbir Kapoor, seems to have had more than his fill. After too many link ups and unending media speculations about him and his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri and at times even Anushka Sharma, the actor's parents have lost their cool. He too is no longer amused.

"More than himself, Ranbir is embarrassed because of his parents. He won't take the Casanova image lying down," reveals a close friend of the actor.

According to the friend, "Ranbir has never treated Nargis Fakhri as anything more than a co-star. Ranbir goes out with her, yes. But only in a group with his other friends." Also, there is a reason behind him being so caring towards the newcomer.

Nargis, it seems, is under an exclusive contract with Asthvinayak, the production house of her film, Rockstar, which states that she can't be seen with people apart from her co-stars from the film at social gatherings. What can a good friend like Ranbir do? Of course, keep the poor girl company!

According to the star's friend, "Ranbir is tired with his friends constantly joking about his libido." After all, he has been linked to Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, who he dated on and off before finally breaking off. Katrina Kaif, too, had been a part of his burgeoning list.

Incidentally, Nargis is not the only one in Ranbir's life currently. There is also Anushka Sharma. "Isn't she seeing Ranveer Singh?" laughs the friend.

While, Ranbir was reportedly seen in the backseat of a car with Sharma, his friend denies it vehemently. "Ranbir was in the front seat with his friend Ayaan Mukherji (Director, Wake Up Sid) Anushka was in the backseat with Ranveer," explains he.

Looks like the new generation Kapoor lad has been seriously misunderstood and his actions misinterpreted. And so, finally, he has decided to give his 'roving eye' voluntary retirement. "That isn't me that's being written about. I've had enough. I just want to withdraw from the limelight completely for sometime," says Ranbir.

Yes, I lost my cool: Tusshar

Tusshar Kapoor
Tusshar Kapoor
Tusshar Kapoor, known as mellowed good boy, picked up a fight with director Sagar Ballary at a shopping mall and the shooting of " Hum Tum Aur Shabana" soon turned into a full-blooded pow-wow.

The incident happened Sunday evening in full public view at the shopping mall in Bhandup in suburban Mumbai and shocked everyone who was there.

Apparently Tusshar was heard screaming loudly at Ballary. The director not known to take kindly to any high-handed behaviour from his team, shouted right back, while other stars Minissha Lamba and Shreyas Talpade watched in muted embarrassment.

To our surprise, neither Tusshar nor Ballary denied the fight.

When asked about the incident, Tusshar said: "It was unfortunate. On Sunday when we were shooting in a mall, he told me the shooting would be extended by another night. I had been working round the clock with practically no sleep, so I lost my cool. I now realise that Sagar was only doing his job. He's a perfectionist. I realised my mistake and apologised to him. We're friends again."

When quizzed about the incident, Ballary did a deeper probe on Tusshar's personality and said that for too long Tusshar has been taken for granted.

"People see him as a docile non-aggressive lamb. They don't realise there's another side to him which he keeps out of view for the sake of decency. I'm glad he's finally asserting himself even if it was me at the receiving end," added the "Bheja Fry" director.

Speaking about the incident at the mall, Ballary said: "We were shooting this complicated horror-comic climax with lots of props that had been set up inside a mall. None of us had slept for five nights. Night shoots are always tough since actors don't get any sleep in the day-time because of their phones."

"It was specially hard on Tusshar who had been working round the clock. I had to extend the shooting by one more night. If I didn't, I'd have to recreate the ambience in the mall for one more night, which would be time-consuming and costly. When I broke the news, Tusshar lost his temper. When you're working hard, these things happen."

Call her Kareena Kapoor Khan!

She's been in the industry for a decade and is unquestionably the reigning queen of Bollywood. In an exclusive interview with Madhureeta Mukherjee, Kareena Kapoor talks about the Bollywood race, friends and foes, all the Khans, and the most special one. Read on...

Many actresses of your league are not in the running, what keeps you on your toes?
Kareena: My work is my passion. It's the only thing I have been doing for 365 days a year. I am proud to say that and I will probably act all my life.

Do you think the industry is gender biased?
Women oriented films do well to a certain extent, but they do not give you super stardom. I balance it out with a full-blown masala flick like Golmaal 3. I really don't need to do an offbeat film to show my skills as an actor.

How far would you go for a role with Tom Cruise?
I wouldn't go anywhere for him. I think Shah Rukh is our answer to Tom Cruise. For me he is bigger than Tom Cruise. And talking of Hollywood, I don't like doing things that I will not be able to do. To get a role there you have to give screen tests, park yourself there for about 7-8 months, and then maybe you'll get a two-bit role. I'd rather enjoy the best of Bollywood.

You keep calling Aamir the 'God of Acting'? Don't the other Khans feel offended?
No. Both Saif and I are very close to Shah Rukh and we've been friends with him even before we were together. Shah Rukh's friendships start from Gauri, but I'm crazy about Aamir. I've been a huge fan since school and I've told him that. Obviously, there's a certain type of chemistry we share and I suited the character, which is the reason I've got the role opposite him. It's not because we are friends.

Do you see flashes of Aamir in Imran?
I think Imran is new and raw. He's the dark horse of Bollywood. Both Saif and I have always liked Imran and we think he's the next superstar! He's a really sweet friend, but for me, Aamir is the best.

Everytime a newcomer is launched, she's pitted against you.
It's high time for the media to stop comparing me with newcomers. They're just starting out and they're fresh. All I'm here to do is act and give it my best shot. I want to be focused and not bother about anything else.

There's been a war of words between Priyanka and you. Would you like to comment on that?
I did say a few things about her, but that was just for fun. She took it seriously. I would definitely not call us 'friends', because friendship is a big word and I'd rather consider the people I have grown up with as my friends. I would definitely say that friendship is much beyond chatting at social events and parties."

Someday, would you like to be known as Kareena Kapoor Khan?
Yes, of course. Every girl dreams of a lifetime of fulfilment and I'm no exception. Right now I'm at a great phase of my career, Saif understands and respects that. I've waited for this to happen ever since I was a child. So we aren't rushing into anything right now. Till then I'd like to be Kareena Kapoor.

I wanted Dada in KKR: SRK

Shah Rukh Khan is out of his self-imposed exile. And he has a lot to talk about.

In a heart-to-heart, he chats about his (and probably B-Town's) most expensive film Ra.One, his IPL team without captain Saurav Ganguly, his TV show Zor Ka Jhatka, which didn't quite live upto its promise, and lots more. Read on for excerpts...

Mallika turns 'Jalebi Bai'

We just told you that it is raining item numbers in every set in Bollywood. And of course what Malaika, Deepika, Katrina and Lisa do; Mallika Sherawat can do better.

The sultry siren, who is getting paid a bomb to shake her hips, has shot a sexy and steamy number titled Jalebi Bai for Indra Kumar's Double Dhamaal. When contacted for her response on whether the song was more erotic than Munni, Sheila and the rest, Mallika only said, "Wait and watch." But choreographer Ganesh Acharya feels his item is the one that will emerge the winner this year. Honestly, what happened to scripts; everyone is only talking of items.

Bhajji-Geeta split

Bhaji is totally dedicated to his game at the moment, and doesn't want to be tied down for another 2-3 years, Geeta wanted a commitment from him.

They both want different things at this point, and they decided it didn't make sense for them to be together in the given scenario. The pair have never been vocal about their affair but it is a known fact that they were a couple. They'd split a a couple of years back too, only to reunite later. Will it happen again? Anything is possible.

Rani, Sonam lose Abhi, Ranbir

Abhishek-Rani
The Bunty Aur Babli pair won't be seen in a film anytime soon. Rani Mukherji, who was linked to Abhishek Bachchan, just before he married Aishwarya Rai is smarting from the humiliation of not been invited to the wedding.

For the first time in an interview to a magazine the actress admits being hurt at the omission, despite being close to the Bachchans for years. She has also worked with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, and it hurt that much more when she was left out of the guestlist for the wedding. In the said interview, Rani opens up, "The truth is that if a person chooses not to invite you to their wedding, you realise where you stand with the person.

You may be deluded and think you are friends but maybe the friendship was only restricted to being co-stars on the sets. It doesn't matter. It became very clear and evident that we were only co-actors and not friends. Moreover, inviting someone to a wedding is a personal choice. Tomorrow when I decide to get married, I will choose the handful of people I want to invite. Poor guy has been married for many years, we should all move on. I will always have fond memories of working with him."

Ranbir-Sonam
Now it is out in the open. In an interview to Filmfare magazine, Sonam Kapoor has confessed that she is no longer on talking terms with her childhood friend Ranbir Kapoor

The hostility started following some comments made by Sonam on Koffee With Karan, after which Rishi Kapoor blasted her in print. She expected Ranbir to show grace and apologise for his dad's rude comments. But that didn't happen. And things just got worse over time.

The actress candidly admits, "I don't speak to Ranbir anymore. We are no longer friends, I guess. I am not in touch with him. He doesn't feature in my life at all. Honestly, discussing him and Deepika in all my interviews is very annoying. By going on the show with Deepika when their break-up story was still fresh, I just got caught in the crossfire. I am an unfortunate victim."

Jaipur goes green

At an emerald auction here on Sunday, After Hrs finds out how the green gem's catching people's fancy both locally and globally

It was a green day. Some small, some big pieces of green stones were put under a ray of light till the ray passed right through the pieces, and the examiner said, "Oh, this is a real emerald!" And the buyers would just write down their bids on a piece of paper, seal it in an envelope and drop it into the bidding box.
The occasion was the Gemfields Rough Emerald and Beryl Auction on Sunday, where gem and stone dealers from different parts of the country converged to bid for emeralds.
The process looked simple enough, but it belied the amount of work that goes into cutting and polishing the rough stones into the emeralds that are popular all across the world.
"The stones that you see here are in their rough form. More than 70 per cent of their weight will be gone before we get the final glittery emerald," said Ian Harebottle, CEO of Gemfields.
Passionate emerald lovers at the venue simply talked about the glamour of this stone after it acquires its final shape.
"In terms of global trends, it's popularity has increased tremendously. I believe it started three years ago, when Angelina Jolie wore an emerald to the red carpet at the Oscars," said Anna Haber, director of global marketing and public relations, Gemfields.
"And India is very much a part of the emerald market! Green is very much a trend, especially of you focus on royal families or just the lifestyle of some well-to-do people," she added.
In fact, mirroring the global trend, gem and stone traders from Jaipur are also seeing a tremendous demand for the stone from both India and abroad!
"Emerald is not only a stone but also a fascination. And we took it even farther. We shot a documentary on the whole process of obtaining Zambian emeralds, from the mining to the final product. We run a 24-hour shopping channel in the US, and a 20-hour shopping channel in the UK, where we broadcast this documentary almost everyday. Emerald is a fast-selling product there, and it's catching up fast in India as well," said Sunil Agarwal, Chairman of Vaibhav Gems Limited.
The auction results will be announced on Monday afternoon at Gemfields in Sitapura Industrial Estate. The difference between the lowest and the highest bids is expected to be around 450 per cent.

I'm an obsessive actor: Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan
This may well be one of Aamir Khan's busiest birthdays. He is shooting for Reema Kagti's suspense thriller, bulking up for Aditya Chopra'sDhoom-3 and getting ready to release Delhi Belly.

He's also learning to swim, speak Marathi more fluently and planning to enroll in a cooking class. In a quick Q & A, the actor confesses to his current highs.

So who is it with you in Dhoom-3? Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone?
Dhoom-3 will roll in January 2012. I'm only building my physique for it from now on. And why are you assuming that I'm involved in the casting.Aditya Chopra and Vijay Acharya Krishna (Victor) will select the heroine. I have no say in the matter.

In an Aamir film, Aamir normally has all the say...
Yaar nahin, I'm only an actor on set. I'm an obsessive actor but nothing more. Right now, I'm totally preoccupied with Reema's film. It is a genre that neither I nor anyone else has dabbled in for a long time. It's also got a strong emotional core.

And, it has no title?
Yeah, if someone gives me a title for Reema's film, it will be the best birthday gift I receive today.

Heard you are learning to swim?
Yes, in fact I've enrolled for swimming lessons with Mickey Mehta. I have to swim in Reema's film. Actually I'm very excited about this one. After 3-Idiots this is my next film. I was in Dhobi Ghaat, but it was more Kiran's movie.

You also have conversations only in Marathi?
With my staff I only speak in Marathi. My teacher Suhas Limaye says that it is the best way to polish my language. I have poor language skills; I'm a little slow but I am thoroughly enjoying speaking the language.

What's this cooking thing you are getting into?
Cooking is also something I want to learn. Honestly, I haven't started.

One hears Kiran and you have moved into your mother's house?
Yes, Kiran and I are now sleeping in the bedroom where I spent my childhood. My mother has come to live in my building; Kiran and I have moved upstairs to her home. Our things are still in our home downstairs but we sleep and wake up in mom's house. After pack up, I go straight to mom's house and I am with her till bedtime.

What according to you is your biggest achievement in the year gone by?
I have given the industry two women directors-Anusha Rizvi (Peepli Live) and Kiran Rao (Dhobi Ghat). I've supported talent that I believe in and I have also shown that art house movies which earlier collected two-three crores can collect as much as 15 crore-plus.

Is Delhi Belly also art-house?
No. It is a kameena commercial film.

Are Shah Rukh, Salman and you still the front-runners?
I don't know about being number 1 or 2; I'm excited about my success. My fans are happy to see everything that I put out there in the market. That's immensely gratifying.

Do you feel any different at 46 than you felt at 40?
Frankly, age is just a number. Physically, no one can counter age; to me it has never mattered. Goals can be achieved even when you are 90. The audience doesn't ask an actor's age when it comes to seeing his film.

Katrina loves the Roshan boys

We know how much the cameras love 'Katz Spotting', wherever she goes – whether it's a nightclub, coffee shop, dinner or even the airport.

And more often than not, lately, they've spotted her in the lovely company of Ranbir Kapoor. But well, he's not the only hottie Katrina likes to hang out with. We hope the Kapoor boy is not sulking already, because we're only talking about Hrithik Roshan. Yeah, Katrina's new B-town dost. Apparently, she's quite close and comfortable with the Roshans, the bachchas included.

At the launch of Sussanne's new store, she was very sweetly hanging out with the kids, Hrehaan and Hridaan, and playing board games with them, while Hrithik was busy playing host to the rest of his Bollywood guests. What's Akshay 'Tom'-tomming about?

So, what if this Tees Maar Khan couldn't con his way to strike the B.O, Akki has got something more up his sleeve.

There's no doubting that he needs some super action in his career, and for that he'll do anything, even if it means adopting some 'robotic' techniques. Yeah, he's Akshay's new inspiration, superstar,Rajnikanth.

Even if he has half the super power that Robot displayed, he'll be closer to a hit. Sources say that Akki's is getting trained by some of the best in the business, apparently, for Housefull 2, Tom Cruise's trainer will be designing and training his stunts in the movie. Well, whatever works for him, as long as it can smoothly 'cruise' his career ahead. What say, AK? For more Bollywood news and gossip, keep watching 'Planet Bollywood', everyday at 7pm, only on zoOm

I'm not a B or C grade actress: Preity

Preity Zinta, 36, talks about her television debut and having survived a difficult personal phase

What convinced you to accept the offer to host Guinness World Record Ab India Todega?
(laughs) It is a record breaking show. I have been getting TV offers for the past five-six years. I didn't have time. Nothing grabbed my attention then.

Talk shows are too personal because so much about your own life emerges through them. I am an adventurous person and when I heard about this show, I had to give it a shot.

All your friends from the industry (Shah Rukh, Salman, Abhishek, Amitabh) have hosted TV shows. Did you ask them for tips?
They told me to relax and be myself. Whoever met me said do what you want.

When will you return to the big screen?
You will see me in movies this year.

Why have you turned down scripts in the past few years?
I was busy over the past six months with the court cases and the fights with BCCI. Before the IPL, I can shoot for the show. IPL follows, and then I will take a month off before shooting for my film.

You made a successful transition from acting to entrepreneurship.
Earlier, I never had the courage to try something completely different. Once I was at the top of my game and opportunity came, I said, 'I want to try this.' I could have done it a bit differently by doing one film a year at least. But I got so consumed by various things that I did not have time for anything else.

Are you in touch with people from the industry?
Of course. I always meet filmmakers who call me for script narrations and politely say, 'Not right now, later'. I listen to every script and that's why they have always been nice to me. You can never forget where you have come from and the people who have helped you get there.

Have you refused any exciting projects?
I have said no to most of the major releases that have done extremely well. It is not in my personality to say I was offered this and that.

Any regrets?
None. In the past 10 years, I have done big films, given big hits. I was never a B grade or C grade actress. I started with Dil Se. I am the only actress in my generation to have worked with Yash Chopra. I have been very lucky. I have never seen crazy failures in films. I did see a difficult side of life personally and it has made me tougher, stronger and smarter. I hope.

When your IPL team Kings XI Punjab came under the scanner, how did you deal with the allegations?
There were allegations against all the teams. We emerged clean, and had the court to back us. After all these investigations and after people pointing fingers at us, we went to court and won fair and square. I would have died of a heart attack if I had been accused of something that I have never done in my life.

Did you discuss issues with your business partner Ness Wadia?
I was in discussion with all my partners and there is no one in particular that I turned to.

What's your involvement with the Kamal Amrohi property case?
I am not anybody's legal heir, nor am I inheriting anything from anybody. I have a lot of respect for him and he is a gentleman. He was in a lot of trouble and I helped him. He asked me to help him. But people blew up the story. The only inheritance I will ever get is from my father.

But he publicly said he wants to give you his property.
Well, yeah! But I haven't taken anything from him.

Are you in touch with Ness?
Why is he so important to everybody? It was over between us two years ago and you should let it be.

Is there a new man in your life?
No, not right now.

Have you turned celibate?
(Laughs) No, I am normal. If I meet someone, I am happy to have a chat. But I am not seeing anyone in particular right now.

Would you want to marry soon?
Of course! I am like anybody else
.

Lara, Vinay: An odd couple

Vinay Pathak and Lara Dutta share screen space for the first time The cast itself sets the tempo for the film. Former Miss Universe, Lara Dutta, and one of our funniest actors – Vinay Pathak – team up for an entertaining, slice- of-life film that promises to make you fall down with laughter.

Titled " Chalo Dilli", the film narrates a journey of two protagonists and showcases 'real India' with all its colour, diversity, through the eyes of Lara and Vinay. What's interesting is how these two actors, coming from two totally different schools of acting, compliment each other on screen, and bring out the best in each other. Their chemistry is one to watch out for. Says a source, "With Vinay's quick wit and poker-faced humour and Lara's quotient, the film is sure to appeal to an average Hindi film buff."

Set to release on April 29th, "Chalo Dilli" is produced by Krishika Lulla and Mahesh Bhupathi. It was was shot in Jaipur,
 Delhi and Mumbai.

Asha Bhosle to make acting debut with Maaee

She has been the leading voice of Bollywood for close to six decades but at 77, singer Asha Bhosle has decided to take up another challenge. She is all set to make an acting debut with Hindi film Maaee.

The singer has done many music videos but it is for the first time that she is

doing a lead role in a movie.

The film is being produced by Subhash Dawar-Nitin Shankar and tells the story of what happens when a woman is abandoned by her only son and then goes to live with her daughter and son-in-law. The film will be directed by debutante Mahesh Kodiyal.

"It was something that I hadn't done so far. My fans know very well that I do whatever my heart says is good to do.

Bebo bans bikini on screen

Though beau Saif Ali Khan likes his sweetheart Kareena Kapoor in a bikini on silver screen, the actress has resolved never to wear the two-piece garment ever again!

Kareena told "The bikini is a highly overrated garment. For me it has lost its novelty. I have worn

it twice on screen. in Tashan (2008) and in Kambakkht Ishq(2009). However my fans preferred me in Jab We Met (2007), 3-Idiots(2009) and Golmaal-3 (2010) where I stayed steered clear of exposing. I don't have the patience to go through the whole regimen that needs to be in place for your body to look bikini-perfect. So I've decided that I will not wear a bikini on screen again."

Saif, however, surprisingly has no problem with Bebo wearing bikini on screen.

The actress told the news daily, "Saif likes me in a bikini. He has no issues with it. Saif actually prefers me glamourous. He liked me inKambakkht Ishq; he thought I was very hot in it. He says that it is Kareenahis personal choice but he doesn't necessarily want me to abide by it. Saif likes it when I use a bit of make-up and dress fashionably rather than when I step out looking like a plain-Jane."

The Different Faces Of Love

Marriage, live-in, long-distance or open relationships, love has many faces. It can come in shades of black, white or even grey. But what makes love unique is the story that unites two people. This Valentine’s Day, iDiva gets in conversation with three distinct couples who share with us their perception of love Karnvir Bohra and Teejay, Actors Married for 3 years Love is black and white, never grey Teejay: it's clarity, like bright white light. Even when it’s black, it’ll always lead to white, because there’s always a lesson to draw from the bad times.

Remember These One-Hit Music Wonders?

Some of the most popular songs of all time have been one-hit wonders.
These hits swept the nation and defined generations, but for one reason or another, the artists didn't go on to create a successful music career.
Some may have decided one hit was enough to carry them through the rest of their lives. Others kept at it, but appear to have hit the peak of their creative abilities on the first try.
Before we start feeling too sorry for these one-hit wonders, let's remember that one great song can sometimes be all it takes to make you rich and famous, and the royalties from these hits might still be padding their pockets today.
Countless artists representing various genres have joined the one-hit wonder club, but we've selected our top five.

Mallika uncomfortable in a bikini

And they say LA makes good girls go bad! Mallika Sherawat, our Haryana lassie, who is famously transforming herself into a Hollywood socialite, has suddenly become camera shy.

She decided to go back on her agreement to wear a bikini for Dhamaal 2. Despite signing on the dotted line, Sherawat threw a hissy fit after donning the two-piece swimwear and told the director Indra Kumar that she wanted a body double.

Her exact words to him were, "You can take the visuals of my body above my waist, but nothing below my waist. Arrange for a body double. Merge the two shots, mine upper and the body double's lower, or show it separately. Do whatever you want but no visuals of my lower body."

An eyewitness tells us, "Well, Mallika had told Kumar on the first day of the Pune schedule that she didn't want him to film the lower part of her body. Kumar decided that he would cross the bridge when the time came."

Unfortunately, when the time came, Kumar had to put the brakes on the shoot for 3-4 hours and had a long conversation with Sherawat but no amount of cajoling helped.

The actress firmly stood her ground. The scene was eventually shot but only six to seven days later, when Kumar managed to arrange a body double, who matched Sherawat's physicality.

When questioned why Kumar conceded, a member from the unit tells us, "What could he do? Did he have a choice?"

When contacted, Kumar simply said, "I got what I wanted. You will see Mallika in a swimsuit from head to toe. I am not complaining."

Only a few days ago, on March 1, Mumbai Mirror broke the story about Kangna's refusal to don a bikini on a Thailand beach for David Dhawan's Rascals. Boy! Are these girls coy!

Officials of film-maker Ekta Kapoor's production house are apparently miffed with Sonakshi Sinha for her 'unprofessional' behaviour

Reason: Sonakshi "ditched" them at the last moment by opting out of a performance at Ekta's awards, say sources. Some in the production house also claim that Sonakshi and her team kept them in the dark by insisting that she will perform at the awards and didn't ultimately turn up for the show.
"Sonakshi first confirmed to perform live on 12th February, and accordingly everything was arranged. But suddenly just a week before the event, she said that that she had to travel to Chandigarh on that day for her shoot," says a representative from the production house.
The organisers were then informed about the change in schedule that Sonakshi was ready to shoot her act for the awards. But even then there was a hitch. "They (organisers) had to arrange to pre-shoot her act a day before. Now, three days before that she backed out saying she was not well. In spite of that her managers kept on insisting that she will perform. On the day of the event they finally cancelled saying she is unwell," recalls the official, adding that post the no-show, her managers pushed the organisers to arrange for a post-shoot one day after the event. The official further adds that whole assignment was unprofessionally handled.
Although some sources also insist that Sonakshi was not comfortable performing on the stage as she felt that she had regained weight, it's yet to be confirmed as the actor had not spoken about it.

Shilpa wants new neighbours

Shilpa Shetty's life seems like one big holiday. The actress is presently in Dubai and will be heading to Austria but while she might be shopping for clothes and bags on her trips abroad, she is investing in the big stuff back home .

According to a real estate source, the Shut-up And Bounce girl has green flagged a property in Mumbai. She confirms, "Yes, I have bought a new house. I'm doing it up currently and will give the final touches when I'm back in town."

The actress already has a palatial bungalow in Juhu which is close to Akshay Kumar's house. Perhaps she wants to move to a new neighbourhood?

Elton John to attend Royal Wedding

British singer John Elton didn't think he would get a spot on the guest list at Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal wedding to be held at Westminster Abbey on April 29.

Well, he is pleasantly surprised. Elton John pilled the beans on Marilyn Denis' chat show recently.

Elton John was a very close and dear friend of Princess Diana's. While many were expectant that Elton John would be one of the guests at the royal wedding, the singer himself wasn't so sure. 'Have you been invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding?' is a question he was oft asked.

John was trying to be discreet until now. He first denied having received an invitation, but then confirmed that he had indeed received an invite to the royal wedding, and that he and partner David Furnish would definitely be attending it.

As the mercury rises, fashion sees corals and reds take centrestage

Mumbai may not have much of a winter or, for that matter, a spring to indulge in. But the sweltering heat is fast engulfing the city and this is perhaps the best time to don colours that match the vibrancy in the air. Fashion designer Ana Singh seconds the thought and says that neons, pastels and fluorescent shades are back with a vengeance this summer: "They seem to be dominating the fashion scene and it's the perfect time to flaunt them. Go for colourful nail paints, accessories and clothes." And does she have a favourite shade? "Yes, it's yellow. It's such a happy colour and works beautifully on Indian skin," says Ana.
Designer Surily Goel goes a step further and recommends that one digs into neutrals and beige along with the must-haves this season — corals and reds. "Coral hues are very in and so are reds," says Surily, adding that neutral shades also occupy a chunk of her design palette. "Neutrals like whites, greys and beige are typically summer. They come to the rescue because people want something that will make them feel light and comfortable. These shades help cool the body," says Surily.
Fashion designer Arjun Khanna is all praises for the off colours — white and cream. "Also, a lot of olive green, military, khaki, baby pinks and sea blues. I also see a lot of pale lemon and pale green dominating the scene," he says.
While Ana is all for painting the city in bright hues, she suggests that the older lot tone it down a bit. "An older fashionista should stick to just one bright element — maybe in the form of a bright bag, shoes or accessory." But Arjun, being a firm believer in wearing what you want, says that one should just wear it with style and attitude. "That's when you get it right," he concludes.

Marriage? No way! Buzz has it that actor Vidya Balan apparently has no plans to marry rumoured beau Siddharth Roy Kapoor

Whatever may be her relationship status with her rumoured beau, studio head Siddharth Roy Kapoor, actor Vidya Balan is not getting hitched anytime soon. The actor has apparently put her foot down on the issue and has let her close friends and family know that she is not thinking of getting engaged to Siddharth. Not yet.
"The recent reports of Vidya's so-called marriage plans have left her highly amused. She is currently at the peak of her career. Even though the actor has great faith in the sanctity of marriage, she has no plans of rushing into any kind of committment anytime soon," says a source, who's also a close friend of the star.
According to the friend, Vidya, who turned 34 this year, has also apparently reiterated to her family that she would take a few years more to think about marriage. However, it is not that marriage has not crossed her mind. "Vidya likes the idea of being married someday, but isn't ready for it yet. At the moment, she's feasting on the sumptuous roles that are being written especially for her and doesn't want anything to distract her. There's still time for shaadi ka laddoo."
After getting a lot of awards last year for Paa, Vidya also won a lot of accolades for her role in Ishqiya. This year, her hands are full with at least five films which includes Balaji's Dirty Picture (based on the life of Silk Smitha) and Sujoy Ghosh's Kahani. When contacted, Vidya's secretary also officially confirmed that the actor has no plans to settle down at the moment even though she was recently spotted on Goa's Baga Beach with Siddharth and two common friends. The secretary adds that the couple in question bonded as neighbours.
But even if Vidya did want to get married to Siddharth, there might be a hitch. "Both Siddharth and his first wife have applied for a divorce, but apparently the final decree of the annulment has yet not come through. The settlement will be worked out in the next six months," says another source citing the fact that there might be some 'financial settlement' involved in the case.

Priyanka is very upset with Shahid…

Shahid Kapoor is apparently trying to win his ladylove Priyanka Chopra, back once again.
A lot of people from the film industry turned up to wish Shahid Kapoor on his birthday on Saturday. Many leading ladies of his films — including Rani Mukherjee, Anushka Sharma, Genelia D’Souza and Sonam Kapoor — were there. But conspicuous by her absence was Priyanka, who reportedly had a fight with Shahid and then flew to the US.
Shahid and Priyanka’s on-off relationship has been a hot topic recently, but sources close to the couple claim that Shahid doesn’t often express his affection for Priyanka and this ticks her off.
That’s apparently also the reason behind their latest tiff, following which Priyanka packed her bags and left to the US, caring not a hoot to return on his birthday on Saturday.
But we hear that Shahid did try to persuade her to change her mind and return to Mumbai for his birthday bash. He kept trying till the last hour, but when Priyanka did not give up and so Shahid gave up.
However, we are sure that the couple will soon kiss and make up.
